These Fundraising Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern all fundraising activities hosted on the Insight platform. By creating or contributing to a fundraising campaign on Insight, you agree to these Terms, in addition to the general Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.

1. Eligibility to Create a Fundraising Campaign

To raise funds on Insight, you (the "Fundraiser") must:

  • Be a registered legal entity (company) in a recognized jurisdiction

  • Have a valid business bank account in the name of the registered business

  • Submit a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that demonstrates your project’s core functionality

  • Maintain an active, public-facing website that describes your product or service

  • Provide valid identification and verification for:

    • The fundraising representative(s)

    • The registered company (including business registration number)

    • Company email and physical address

All fund transfers must be made to the same country in which the business is legally registered.

2. Campaign Requirements

  • Fundraisers are allowed one active campaign at a time

  • Campaigns may run for a maximum of 3 months

  • There is no minimum or maximum fundraising amount

  • A 5% platform fee will be deducted from total funds raised

    • This is separate from payment processing fees, which vary by provider (e.g., Stripe or PayPal)

Insight may at its discretion feature or promote select campaigns, but does not guarantee visibility or fundraising success.

3. Fund Use and Accountability

Fundraisers agree to:

  • Use the funds exclusively for the development or scaling of the stated product/service

  • Maintain transparency with supporters through updates and communication

  • Accurately represent the product, team, and timeline

  • Deliver any promised rewards or access, if offered as part of the campaign

Misuse of funds or failure to deliver may result in account suspension, refund demands (where applicable), and legal action.

4. Fraud & Verification

Insight conducts fraud prevention and KYC checks before and during campaigns. Fundraisers agree to cooperate fully, including providing:

  • Identification documents

  • Business registration records

  • Proof of product development

  • Financial documentation (if requested)

Suspicious or unverifiable campaigns may be suspended or removed without notice. If fraud is discovered, Insight reserves the right to withhold or reclaim raised funds.

5. Taxes and Legal Compliance

  • Fundraisers are solely responsible for tax reporting and payment in their country of registration

  • Insight does not provide tax advice or documentation beyond receipts for payments made through the platform

  • You must comply with local and international laws applicable to your business and fundraising activities

6. Contributions and Refunds

  • Contributors ("Backers") understand they are supporting an early-stage project, not purchasing a guaranteed product

  • Fundraisers are not obligated to issue refunds, but may choose to do so

  • Insight does not hold or guarantee refunds unless required by law or in cases of proven fraud

7. Insight’s Role and Liability

  • Insight is a platform provider, not an investor, co-creator, or guarantor

  • Insight does not verify the commercial viability or accuracy of campaign claims

  • Requested verification documents are not submitted

In such cases, access to raised funds may be restricted or cancelled.
